Luis is the heroic son of Pilar and Martin. He has worked as a cop to support the family since his father disappeared years ago. He has always hated the Cranes, since he is convinced they had something to do with his father's disappearance years ago. Despite his feelings for the Cranes, Luis wound up falling hard for one of them, Sheridan Crane, and the two became engaged. During a romantic vacation in Bermuda, Sheridan was presumed dead after a boat explosion. A grief-stricken Luis does not know how he will go on without the woman he loves more than life. Unbeknownst to Luis, Sheridan is actually alive. She has amenesia and is known as "Diana" on the remote island of St. Lisa where she is living.
