David came to Harmony looking for Grace Bennett. After finding Grace, he revealed that he is her husband! However, David is really being blackmailed by Ivy Crane to pose as Grace's husband. David is against Ivy's scheme, especially now that he seems to have developed feelings for Grace. David was furious when Ivy brought David's son, John, to town and forced David to pretend that Grace is John's mother. David loves his son and doesn't want to see him get hurt as a result of Ivy's schemes.
