Who in Harmony had the best year of all?
SAM
Sam Bennett had some stiff competition in Brian O'Leary and Dr. Eve Russell, but you still decided that he had the best year of all. Harmony's esteemed Chief of Police may have gotten off to a bad start-after all, his wife miscarried and he learned he had a son he hated. But as the year came to a close, things definitely looked up for Sam. Grace forgave Sam for keeping the secret of his long-ago affair with Ivy and the two got their marriage back on track. Sam even prevailed when David, Grace's first "husband" came to town. Despite David's attempts to lure her away, Grace stuck firmly by Sam's side and the couple came out stronger than ever. And the icing on the cake? Ethan, the son Sam once despised, turned out to be not so bad. In fact, Ethan and Sam have inched toward a loving father-son relationship. Not a bad ending for a year in which his house was sucked into hell...
Who in Harmony had the worst year of all?
ETHAN
While his father may have had the best year of all, you decided that Ethan didn't exactly fare so well. And that's saying a lot-considering his competition was Sheridan, who's been dead twice, and Charity, who's been to hell and back! But there's no denying that Ethan went through a different kind of hell in 2001. The year began with Ethan learning that he had been lied to his entire life by his mother. It turned out that wealthy, powerful Julian Crane, the man he grew up believing was his father, was not his father at all! His real father was actually blue-collar Sam Bennett, a man he had always despised. Ethan's world crashed down around him as he lost his name and identity. And the year ended with more lies. Ethan was devastated to find out that his beloved fiancee, Theresa, had actually married his ex-father, Julian Crane! Ethan forgave Theresa on the condition that there were no more lies between them. Well, it looks like 2002 is going to be just as bad for poor Ethan...since Theresa is hiding the fact that she's pregnant with Julian's baby!
Who deserves the honor of "Couple of the Year"?
LUIS AND SHERIDAN
The year 2001 held both happiness and pain for Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald and Sheridan Crane. But no matter what they went through, you stuck by them-just like they stuck by each other. The two were deliriously happy at the start of the year. Sheridan had just come back to life and they were finally able to declare their love for one another. Their happiness was cemented when Luis proposed to Sheridan and presented her with his grandmother's ring. But new challenges were just around the corner. Julian and Alistair were determined to break up the couple so that Luis would not learn the Crane family secrets. To achieve their goal, they hired a Luis "impostor" and arranged for Sheridan to see "Luis" in bed with another woman. While Luis and Sheridan's love was strong enough to withstand this evil scheme, their happiness was short-lived. On their "honeymoon" to Bermuda, Julian arranged for the couple's boat to blow up. Sheridan was presumed dead, leaving her beloved Luis grief-stricken. In reality, Sheridan is very much alive, but is suffering from amnesia. However, despite "death" and amnesia, their love lives on-as both Luis and Sheridan pray for a miracle to reunite them with their lost loves.
Which meanie was the naughtiest this year?
JULIAN
There is certainly no shortage of "meanies" in Harmony-so Julian must be pretty bad in order to deserve this award! In fact, if you want proof that evil is around every corner in Harmony, just look at his competitors-Tabitha, the town's resident witch and Kay, a teenager who uses spells to cause pain for her cousin. But Julian's constant plots against his sweet sister Sheridan put him at the top of the class this year (or should we say bottom?). Julian did the unthinkable as he tried to break up supercouple Sheridan and Luis in order to prevent Luis from learning the Crane family secrets. Julian's "impostor" plot ultimately failed, but Julian did not give up in his quest to tear apart the happy couple. Next on his evil agenda was arranging for Sheridan's untimely demise. Julian arranged for a bomb to be placed aboard Sheridan and Luis' boat. The boat blew sky high, and Sheridan was presumed dead. Julian believed his mission was finally accomplished...one sister down and more evil deeds to go.
Which of Harmony's good souls was the nicest this year?
MIGUEL
In a town in which your next door neighbor could be a witch and hell can be found in the closet, there is definitely a need for a good soul or two. And according to you, Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald is the best soul of all. Not that this is surprising-the young hero did jump into the flames of hell in order to rescue his damsel-in-distress, Charity. But with Miguel it's also the little things that count. A lesser man would walk away from a girlfriend who is constantly plagued by premonitions, but not Miguel-he's stood by Charity's side through thick and thin. Of course, 2002 could be the ultimate test of just how nice Miguel is. His beloved girlfriend has been replaced by a Zombie version, who has been giving Miguel the cold shoulder. Apparently, the new Charity has heard the expression that nice guys always finish last...
What was the most exciting adventure of the year?
THE RESCUE
It's never a quiet life for the folks of Harmony. You would think that a trip to Bermuda would be nice and relaxing...but you'd be very wrong! Luis and Sheridan escaped to the romantic island for a romantic vacation, but the trip took a deadly turn when their boat blew up! When Luis came to in the water, he couldn't find Sheridan anywhere. But despite the hurricane that raged around him, Luis was determined to find his true love. Buddies Ethan and Chad joined him in the rescue mission. The three braved the not-so-friendly seas as wave after wave crashed into the boat and sent them hurtling into the water. Ethan, Luis, and Chad finally made it back to shore, but unfortunately, Sheridan was not with them. This perfect storm was perfectly disastrous.
Who received the most shocking news?
ETHAN
The New Year started off with a bang for Ethan Crane. At a party to celebrate his engagement to Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, he didn't do much celebrating. The party was crashed by a tabloid reporter who delivered some shocking news-Ethan was not really a Crane! It turns out that on her wedding night to Julian, Ivy realized she'd made a terrible mistake. As a result, she ran to her true-love, Sam, and the two made love. It was on that night that Ethan was conceived. Ivy was determined to keep this a secret forever, so that Ethan would enjoy all the benefits and privileges of having the Crane name. Alas, the best-laid plans of Ivy Crane went awry-and the truth reared its ugly head. Ethan was devastated to realize everything he'd ever believed was a lie. And it looks like he could easily win this category two years in a row. Just wait until next year when he learns Theresa is pregnant by his ex-father!
Which sneak was the most deceptive?
THERESA
Theresa battled fellow sneaks Ivy (who plotted to break up Sam and Grace) and David (Ivy's pawn in breaking up Sam and Grace) in the race for most deceptive, but she came out the winner. And it's not too hard to figure out why. Theresa kept so many secrets this year; you practically need a scorecard to keep track! But we'll give it a shot. In the beginning of the year, she kept the secret that Ethan was really a Bennett, not a Crane. When the truth came out, she didn't tell Ethan that she had known the secret for months! Ethan was devastated when he learned the truth, but Theresa did not learn her lesson. She kept yet another secret from Ethan-that she had mistakenly married Ethan's ex-father! Ethan again learned the truth and he forgave Theresa on one condition-no more secrets! Theresa agreed, but she's lying yet again. And this time it's a doozy...she's pregnant with Julian's baby! Let's hope that in 2002, Theresa learns that the truth shall set her free!
Who shared the most romantic moment of 2001?
LUIS AND SHERIDAN
What could be more romantic than two soulmates vacationing in Bermuda? According to you...nothing! Even though their wedding was a bust, Luis and Sheridan decided to go on their "honeymoon" to Bermuda anyway. And minus the minor detail of a marriage, it was everything a honeymoon should be. The two made love on the beach, tangoed in the bedroom, and shared candlelit dinners. Of course, no trip to the islands would be complete without a magical excursion on the sea. Ever the romantic, Luis arranged every detail of their trip aboard a beautiful sailboat. The couple swam, snorkled, and frolicked in the sun. Unfortunately, their high-sea adventure did not have a happy ending. But at least Luis and Sheridan enjoyed one perfect, romantic moment in the sun.
Who deserves the most happiness in 2002?
LUIS
The new year is always a time for new beginnings. And according to you, no one needs a new beginning more than Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald. Harmony's resident hero has spent the last half of 2001 grieving for his beloved Sheridan. In his head, Luis "knows" that Sheridan is dead-after all, he watched as her body was cremated. But in his heart, he believes that she is out there somewhere. Of course, poor Luis should follow his heart-since Sheridan is very much alive, but is living on a remote island where she is suffering from amnesia. Here's hoping that in 2002, Luis gets the happiness he deserves...and that he is reunited with his true love.
